July Field Trip 1 - boat cruise to Mica Beach

The first July Field Trip will be a ‘Sunrise Special’ cruise with ‘Sea Darwin Cruisers’ over to beautiful and unspoilt Mica Beach/Talc Head on Cox Peninsula. There will be lots of opportunities for seeing the sunrise and for photographs, and to explore the surrounding habitats.

The Sea Darwin vessel departs from the mooring site on Stokes Hill Wharf (just behind the Flying Doctor Exhibition) at 6.00 am on Sunday15 July.

The return journey will be a cruise on Darwin Harbour specially searching for seabirds. Return to Stokes Hill Wharf at 10.30 am.

The Club will be subsidising the cost for this Field Trip, so it will be only $20. Limited numbers left, and preference will be given to financial club members. Contact Richard Willan on 8999 8238 to book your place.

Bring: Insect repellent, covered shoes, hat, sunscreen, breakfast + thermos of tea/coffee, water bottle, towel/mat/deckchair to sit in to enjoy the sunrise and breakfast, binoculars and camera.
